BIRMINGHAM, Ala.- The Southwestern Athletic Conference has named Alabama A&M’s Kaila Walker, Florida A&M’s Sydney Hendrix and Arkansas-Pine Bluff’s D'Arrah Allen its SWAC Women’s Basketball Players of the Week for their impressive performances during games played this past week.
Player
Walker averaged an impressive 19.5 points per game this past week for Alabama A&M during games against Mississippi Valley State at Arkansas-Pine Bluff. She shot 52 percent from the field ranking first on her team in points and field goal percentage.
Impact
Hendrix was a key contributor this past weekend for FAMU as she averaged a team leading 17.0 points per game to go along with 8.5 rebounds per game.
Newcomer
Allen averaged 22.0 points per game this past weekend for Arkansas-Pine Bluff as the Lady Lions played home games against Alabama State and Alabama A&M.
