SWAC Women’s Basketball Weekly Honors: Feb. 11

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.- The Southwestern Athletic Conference has named Florida A&M’s Cheyenne Evans, Alabama A&M’s Alisha Wilson, Texas Southern’s Aaliyah Henderson along with Bethune-Cookman’s Asianae Nicholson its SWAC Women’s Basketball Players of the Week for their impressive performances during games played this past week.

Evans notched a double-double with 24 points and 16 rebounds to help the Florida A&M women's basketball team knock off the Prairie View A&M Panthers 65-48 on the road Thursday.

Wilson was a key contributor this past weekend as she averaged a team leading 17.0 points per game to go along with 14.5 rebounds per game.

Henderson averaged 12.0 points per game this past weekend for Texas Southern as the Lady Tigers remained undefeated in league play.

Nicholson averaged a double-double this past week during Bethune-Cookman games versus Alabama A&M and Alabama State. She averaged 13.0 points to go along with 12.5 rebounds per game.
