BIRMINGHAM, Ala.- The Southwestern Athletic Conference has announced its 2025 Soccer Postseason Honors. The all-conference teams and individual award winners were voted on by the league’s head coaches and sports information directors. In order to be eligible for awards a student-athlete must have participated in a minimum of 50 percent of team games played this season.
Offensive Player of the Year
Czaske Deane was a three-time SWAC Offensive Player of the Week and a Preseason All-SWAC Second Team selection. She played in every AAMU game this season, logging more than 950 minutes. Deane led the team in points (21) and goals (10). She ranked 12
th nationally and first in the SWAC in game-winning goals (5), second in the SWAC in goals per game, total goals, total points and third in points per game.
Defensive Player of the Year
Kaylen Jankans was a key contributor for Grambling State's defense throughout the year. She logged 1,596 minutes and started all 18 matches, contributing three assists while anchoring Grambling State's defensive unit.
Midfielder/Freshman of the Year
Annick Zouma earned Midfielder of the Year, Freshman of the Year, and All-SWAC First Team honors following an outstanding debut season for the Lady Braves. Zouma was a dominant presence in the midfield, serving as the team's primary playmaker and a consistent force on both ends of the pitch.
Newcomer of the Year
Larissa Joso Luma claimed Newcomer of the Year and All-SWAC First Team recognition. The transfer forward made an immediate impact with her pace and scoring ability, contributing key goals and assists throughout the season that helped fuel Alcorn's postseason push.
Goalkeeper of the Year
Freshman goalkeeper Taylor Osborn was key contributor for the Tigers this season, posting seven shutouts and six consecutive shutouts along that stretch. She played in 11 games and started in 10 at the goalkeeper position, and she has played seven complete 90-minute games (869 minutes total). Osborn notched 44 saves on the season for a 0.880 save percentage.
Coach of the Year
Ted Flogaites was named SWAC Coach of the Year after leading the Tigers back to the top of the conference and securing the 2025 regular season title.
