BIRMINGHAM, Ala.- The Southwestern Athletic Conference has tabbed Texas Southern’s Troy Hupstead and Alabama A&M’s Sami Pissis for SWAC Men’s Basketball Weekly Awards.
Player/Newcomer
Hupstead was a key contributor for Texas Southern during this past week of competition. He averaged a league leading 22 points per game to go along with eight rebounds per game.
Impact
Pissis posted 32 points, 10 assists, seven boards and five steals in two games this past week. He registered 19 points, on 7-of-12 shooting, with four assists, three rebounds and a pair of steals in a 74-65 win versus Lindenwood.
