SWAC Men's Basketball Weekly Awards: Nov. 11

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.- The Southwestern Athletic Conference has tabbed Mississippi Valley State’s Michael James and Jackson State’s Daeshun Ruffin for SWAC Men’s Basketball Weekly Awards. 

Player/Newcomer
James averaged 24.7 points, 5.7 rebounds, 2.7 assists, and two steals per game at mid-majors UAB and Murray State along with MVSU's home opener versus MUW.
 
Impact
Ruffin averaged 17.0 points per game in the two games this week against Illinois and Louisville on the road. He finished the week shooting 41.9 (13-of-31) percent from the floor and 25.0 (3-of-12) percent from beyond the arc, while also shooting 62.5 (5-of-8) percent from the free throw line.
