Box Score

PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas- Grambling State captured the 2025 SWAC Soccer Tournament Championship on Sunday afternoon, defeating top-seeded Jackson State 2–1 at the PVAMU Soccer Complex.

The Lady Tigers struck early to set the tone and never trailed, scoring once in each half while locking down defensively to secure the program's conference title.

Grambling controlled tempo through the midfield for long stretches and limited Jackson State's chances throughout the match. GSU's Liana Bryant opened the scoring in the 14th minute, putting Grambling State in front 1–0.

Chloe Bryant doubled the lead in the 68th minute on a finish assisted by Nyla Dore-Anderson, giving the Lady Tigers valuable separation entering the final stretch.

Jackson State pulled within 2–1 in the 86th minute on a goal by Kaila Tablado, but Grambling State's back line team of Kaylen Jankans, Taya Sands, and Cariana Pou led by Kaia Bace in goal held strong through the final whistle to clinch the trophy.

The Lady Tigers finished with 10 total shots, putting five on frame, while holding Jackson State to just two shots and one shot on goal.
