BIRMINGHAM, Ala.- The Southwestern Athletic Conference has tabbed Jackson State’s James Jayden, Kyra Dove and Karys Dove, Prairie View A&M’s Kylee Owens and Bethune-Cookman’s Sthefany Carvalho for Volleyball weekly awards after their outstanding performances this past week.

Co-Offensive Player of the Week
James averaged 5.29 kps, 3.0 dps and hit .359 in two conference victories for the Tigers. She notched a double-double (23 kills, 14 digs) and hit .566 versus AAMU. 
 
Co-Offensive Player of the Week
Owens delivered an impressive offensive stretch this week, helping the Lady Panthers to key conference victories. She showcased her efficiency and power at the net, posting a combined 36 kills with a .393 hitting percentage across three matches.
 
Co-Defensive Player of the Week
Dove captured eight blocks (6 solo, 2  BA) versus AAMU and averaged 1.29 bps over two conference victories for Jackson State.
 
Co-Defensive Player of the Week
In three games, Carvalho tallied 65 digs - including tying her season-high of 32 against FAMU. She also added 22 assists and a kill.
 
Setter of the Week
Dove tallied 40 assists to average 5.71 aps. She also added eight digs and four aces to her performances last week.
 
Newcomer of the Week
