SWAC Men’s Basketball Weekly Honors: Jan. 7

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.- The Southwestern Athletic Conference has named Arkansas-Pine Bluff’s Doctor Bradley and Texas Southern‘s Zaire Hayes its SWAC Men’s Basketball Players of the Week for their impressive performances during games played this past week.

Bradley was impressive this past week for Arkansas-Pine Bluff as he averaged a league leading 32.5 points per game during UAPB outings against Alabama State and Alabama A&M. He was equally impressive on the defensive end of the floor as he contributed 2.5 steals per game.

Hayes helped propel the Texas Southern Tigers to a overtime victory over Grambling State this past week of competition. For the week he averaged 21.5 points per game while scoring a total of 43 points in the two outings.
