SWAC Women’s Basketball Weekly Honors: Jan. 28

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.- The Southwestern Athletic Conference has named Texas Southern’s Aylasia Fantroy and Jackson State’s Taleah Dilworth its SWAC Women’s Basketball Players of the Week for their impressive performances during games played this past week.

Fantroy has been a key contributor this season for Texas Southern as the Lady Tigers remain unbeaten in league play. Last week she averaged 19.5 points per game along with 9.5 rebounds per game as Texas Southern claimed wins over Alabama A&M and Alabama State.

Dilworth averaged 21.0 points per game during Jackson State contest against Bethune-Cookman and Florida A&M. She shot 53 percent from the field while averaging 32.7 minutes per game as the Lady Tigers improved to 6-1 in league play.
