SWAC Women’s Basketball Weekly Honors: Jan. 14

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.- The Southwestern Athletic Conference has named Alcorn State’s Destiny Brown along with Jackson State’s Taleah Dilworth and Leianya Massenat its SWAC Women’s Basketball Players of the Week for their impressive performances during games played this past week.

Brown was impressive during this past week of competition for the Alcorn State Braves. She averaged a team leading 19.5 points per game to go along with a team leading 10.5 rebounds per game.
 
Dilworth was a significant contributor for Jackson State as the Tigers defeated Alabama A&M and Alabama State at home. She averaged 16.5 points per game ranking first on her team in scoring.
 
Massenat scored 11 points against Alabama A&M and Alabama State in conference play this past week. She also contributed 6.0 rebounds per game for the Tigers.
