BIRMINGHAM, Ala.- The Southwestern Athletic Conference has named Prairie View A&M’s Tanahj Pettway, Jackson State’s Romelle Mansel and Arkansas-Pine Bluff’s Doctor Bradley its SWAC Men’s Basketball Players of the Week for their impressive performances during games played this past week.
Pettway was impressive during this past week of competition for the Prairie View A&M Panthers. He averaged a league leading 25.3 points per game to go along with 6.3 rebounds per game.
Mansel was a significant contributor for Jackson State as the Tigers defeated Alabama A&M and Alabama State at home. He averaged 18.5 points per game ranking first on his team in scoring while also tallying 7.0 rebounds per outing.
Bradley earned Newcomer of the Week recognition for the second consecutive week after averaging 23.5 points per game for Arkansas-Pine Bluff in conference action. He shot a league leading 62 percent from the field during two games played.
