JACKSON, Miss.- Jackson State Vice President and Director of Athletics Ashley Robinson has been selected to serve as a member of the NCAA Men's Basketball Rules Committee, the organization announced.
"I am honored to be chosen to serve in this role and to represent our conference," Robinson said. "It's an honor to serve those who put so much into this game as it continues to grow on the collegiate landscape."
Robinson will represent the Southwestern Athletic Conference for a four-year term, starting September 1. The committee annually evaluates the rules needs for the sport of men's basketball and regularly implements necessary rules adjustments and changes to shape the future of the college game.
