BIRMINGHAM, Ala.- The Southwestern Athletic Conference has named Southern’s Tai'Reon Joseph and Grambling State’s Kintavious Dozier its SWAC Men’s Basketball Players of the Week for their impressive performances during games played this past week.

Joseph tallied a season high 33 points during the Jaguars 74-65 win over Florida A&M on Saturday. He followed that impressive performance with 31 points versus Bethune-Cookman. For the week he averaged 1.5 assists per game, 1.5 rebounds per game, and 1.5 steals per game during a total of 75 minutes played.
Impact
Dozier was impressive during Grambling State's weekend victories over Bethune-Cookman and Florida A&M. He averaged 24.0 points per game and shot 61.5 percent from the field (16-of-26) during the two wins. In GSU's win over B-CU, Dozier scored a game-high 25 points with two rebounds, two steals and two assists. During Grambling State's triumph over FAMU he racked up 23 points with a pair of steals and an assist.
