SWAC Women’s Soccer Weekly Honors: Sept. 6

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Southwestern Athletic Conference has tabbed Alabama State’s Iliana Casiano along with Jackson State’s Ayanna Pinder and Jordan Hamilton for SWAC Soccer Weekly Honors for her outstanding performances during this past week of non-conference play.
 
Offensive
Casiano scored a pair of goals this week in two matches for Alabama State during the team's first win of the season. She added another goal against Sun Belt foe Troy on Sunday.
 
Defensive
Pinder played a huge part in a defense that held Nicholls State to only one goal in Jackson State’s 4-1 win on Friday evening.
 
Goalkeeper
Hamilton was outstanding for Jackson State against ULM as she registered 10 saves while facing a total of 20 Warhawks shots.
