BIRMINGHAM, Ala.- The Southwestern Athletic Conference has named Alabama State’s Antonio “TJ” Madlock and Isaiah Range its SWAC Men’s Basketball Players of the Week for their impressive performances during games played this past week.

Player 
Madlock averaged 16.5 points per game in a pair of contests against USC and Auburn this past week for the Hornets. He scored a game-high 17 points in a home loss to USC. He shot 36.8 (7-of-19) percent from the floor and knocked down three free throws. Madlock added 16 points in a loss on the road against Auburn, all second half points. He finished shooting 45.5 (5-of-11) percent from the floor and knocked down 85.7 (6-of-7) percent from the free throw line. He also grabbed three rebounds and recorded a pair of steals.

Impact
Range averaged 14.5 points this week for the Hornets in games against USC and Auburn. He scored 13 points and grabbed five rebounds against USC. Range knocked down five field goals with three coming from beyond the arc versus USC. Against Auburn, he scored 16 points on 46.7 (7-of-15) percent from the floor with a pair of three-pointers. He also grabbed a pair of rebounds, dished out an assist and recorded a pair of steals.
