SWAC Football Weekly Honors: Nov. 20

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.- The Southwestern Athletic Conference has named Alabama A&M’s Donovan Eaglin, Alcorn State’s Terreance Ellis, Florida A&M’s Cameron Gillis, and Alabama State’s Damon Stewart its SWAC Football Players of the Week for their impressive performances during games played this past weekend. 

Offense
Eaglin contributed 207 total rushing yards on 27 carries during Alabama A&M’s 30-21 win over Mississippi Valley State during the Bulldogs season finale. He also tallied two rushing touchdowns with a long rush of 67 yards while averaging 7.7 yards per rushing attempt.

Defense
Ellis tallied 10 tackles and one interception for the Braves during their 28-24 win over Jackson State this past Saturday.
 
Specialist
Jasso contributed three punts for 142 total yards while averaging 47.3 yards per punt with a long of 50 yards during Prairie View A&M’s 27-21 road win over Southern. He also placed two punts inside the twenty-yard line for the Panthers.

Newcomer
Stewart threw for a career-high 372 yards and two touchdowns while completing 27-of-38 passes with no interceptions during Alabama State’s road outing at Prairie View A&M.
