Tournament Bracket
BIRMINGHAM, Ala.- The Southwestern Athletic Conference has announced its 2023 SWAC Volleyball Tournament seedings following the conclusion of regular season play.
Alabama State (16-0 SWAC) enters the tournament as the No. 1 seed .
Prairie View A&M claimed the No. 2 seed (13-3 SWAC), while Florida A&M claimed the No. 3 seed (12-4 SWAC) followed by No. 4 seed Alabama A&M (11-5 SWAC).
Jackson State (10-6 SWAC) enters the tournament as the No. 5 seed.
Grambling State claimed the No. 6 seed (8-8 SWAC), while Texas Southern claimed the No. 7 seed (8-8 SWAC) followed by No. 8 seed Bethune-Cookman (7-9 SWAC).
In the event of a tie in conference records the league’s tiebreaker policy was used to determine final seedings.
The tournament will be played in a single-elimination format with action set to start at 11:00 a.m. CST on Friday, Nov. 17
th with matches slated to run through Sunday, Nov. 19
th at the William Nicks Building located on the campus of Prairie View A&M University.
Quarterfinals and semifinals matches will be available live on the
SWAC Digital Network.

Friday, November 17
Match 1 – No. 1 Alabama State vs. No. 8 Bethune-Cookman- 11:00 am
Match 2 – No. 4 Alabama A&M vs. No. 5 Jackson State- 1:30 pm
Match 3 – No. 2 Prairie View A&M vs. No. 7 Texas Southern- 4:00 pm
Match 4 – No. 3 Florida A&M vs. No. 6 Grambling State- 6:30 pm
Saturday, November 18
Match 5 – Winner Match 1 vs. Winner Match 2 - 2:00 pm
Match 6 – Winner Match 3 vs. Winner Match 4 - 4:30 pm
Sunday, November 19
Match 7 – Championship- 3:00 pm
