BIRMINGHAM, Ala.- The Southwestern Athletic Conference has announced staff promotions for the upcoming 2022-23 athletic year.
Adeanah Pooler has been elevated to Senior Associate Commissioner for Internal Operations/SWA. Andrew Roberts has been promoted to Associate Commissioner for Media Relations and Aaron Mackey has been promoted to the title of Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
“We’re extremely excited to announce the promotions of these three individuals that have served as integral members of our Conference Office staff,” said SWAC Commissioner Dr. Charles McClelland.
“Behind any successful league office is a dedicated staff of individuals that go above and beyond to ensure the overall success of league operations. These three individuals have exhibited an extremely high level of commitment to the mission, goals and objectives of our conference. We’re elated to have the opportunity to acknowledge their efforts with these promotions and we look forward to having them continue to serve as valued members of our executive staff.”
Pooler joined the staff at the SWAC in the summer of 2019 as the Associate Commissioner for Internal Operations/Senior Woman Administrator. In her current capacity she manages the day-to-day operations and administrative functions of the Conference Office, assist the Commissioner by implementing initiatives and special projects, evaluates league processes, and evaluates overall staff performance while providing executive leadership and oversight for conference personnel.
Roberts was named Assistant Commissioner with the Southwestern Athletic Conference in December of 2018. In his current role within the Conference Office he serves as the primary point of contact for league media relations, event broadcast, and digital/social media. He also serves as the primary event operations contact for all league sponsored championships.
Mackey was named the Director of Accounting and Finance for the SWAC in October 2018. In his role he serves as the primary point of contact for league accounting, finance, auditing, and budgets while also serving as a key contributor to all aspects related to the overall fiscal stability of the conference.
