SWAC Women’s Basketball Weekly Honors: Feb. 8

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.- The Southwestern Athletic Conference has tabbed Grambling State's Alexus Holt and Arkansas Pine Bluff’s Zaay Green for SWAC Women’s Basketball Weekly Honors for their outstanding performances during this past week of conference play.

Player of the Week
Holt had back-to-back high-scoring performances this past week of competition as she averaged 27.5 points per game. Against Alabama State Holt scored 28 points while tallying eight rebounds and adding four assists and two steals. She scored 27 points to go along with six rebounds, four assists, and three steals during GSU’s contest versus Alabama A&M.

Impact Player of the Week
Green had a triple-double and double-double performance during UAPB’s league matchups this past week. Against Alcorn State she scored 26 points while collecting 10 rebounds along with 10 assists, and three steals. Green scored 19 points while collecting 11 rebounds to go along with three assists, two blocks, and two steals during UAPB’s outing against Jackson State.
