BIRMINGHAM, Ala.- The Southwestern Athletic Conference has tabbed Florida A&M's Dylan Horton and Alabama A&M’s Dariauna Lewis for SWAC Women’s Basketball Weekly Honors for their outstanding performances during non-conference play this past week.
Player of the Week
Horton was a key contributor for Florida A&M this past week of competition averaging 16.3 points, 4.6 rebounds, 2.6 assists, and 1.0 steals per game during the Rattlers non-conference outings versus Georgia State, Coastal Carolina and the College of Charleston. She tallied a game-high 18 points during FAMU’s game versus Georgia State.
Impact Player of the Week
Lewis delivered outstanding performances over the course of two games this past week, averaging 13.0 points, 12.0 rebounds, 3.0 blocks and 1.5 assists while shooting 9-of-20 (.450) from the field and 8-of-11 (.727) at the foul line. She produced an outstanding effort in a 65-63 AAMU upset victory over Florida Atlantic tallying nine points and four blocks.
