BIRMINGHAM, Ala.- The Southwestern Athletic Conference has tabbed Mississippi Valley State's Mikayla Etienne and Arkansas-Pine Bluff's Khadijah Brown for SWAC Women’s Basketball Weekly Honors for their outstanding performances during non-conference play this past week.
Player of the Week
Etienne averaged 16.0 points, 6.0 field goals, 4.0 rebounds, 2.0 three-pointers, 1.7 steals and 1.3 assists per game while posting a game/season-best 18 points versus Southern Miss this past week. She also had a season-high seven field goals against Southeast Missouri State.
Impact Player of the Week
Brown played a significant role in helping the Lady Lions on thier three-game winning streak and winning the Thanksgiving Holiday Classic hosted by Southern Mississippi. In the last three games, she had two double-doubles. Brown was named to the All-Tournament in Hattiesburg, Miss. She averaged 12.6 points, 10.3 rebounds with a total of seven blocks.
