2019 SWAC Soccer Tournament Bracket
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The 2019 Southwestern Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Tournament will take place November 7-10 in Prairie View, Texas on the campus of Prairie View A&M University.
Last year, Howard defeated Grambling State, 1-0 to claim its third SWAC crown since joining the conference. The Bison now have their eyes set on winning its fourth conference title as they enter this week’s tournament as the No.1 seed facing No. 8 Southern.
Prairie View A&M earned the No. 2 spot and will play No. 7 Alabama State. No. 3 Jackson State and No. 6 Texas Southern will also square off; while No. 4 Alabama A&M is slated to face No. 5 Grambling State in the quarterfinals on Thursday.
Seven schools have won the soccer tournament championship since its inception (Alabama State, Alabama A&M, Jackson State, Grambling State, Howard, Mississippi Valley State, and Arkansas-Pine Bluff).
Sunday's championship match will stream live on the SWAC Digital Network at 11:00 a.m.
