Lady Panthers fall to Razorbacks
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — The Prairie View A&M’s women’s basketball team fell to the Arkansas 71-44 at the Bud Walton Arena on Saturday.
"Our success as a team first starts with our ability to offensively and defensively, finish and guard with consistency," said head PVAMU women's basketball coach Sandy Pugh. "We did a better job of executing in the half court today. However, we must develop a clear understanding of the when, where and how. There will be hiccups, but its the growth and development (as a team) we are after. Learning from our mistakes and progressing as one is the key."
The teams tied twice in the first quarter, before the Panthers took control in the opening minutes of the game. They led by as many as six points in the first and ended the quarter with an 18-13 advantage over the Razorbacks.
