Lady Panthers drop tough one to Colorado
BOULDER, Co. –
A cold-shooting display hampered Prairie View A&M during a 79-38 loss to Colorado Wednesday evening.

Shala Dobbins led PVAMU with nine points, and Dominique Newman added seven points and four steals. Artavia Ford was a bright spot defensively with four blocks, and Ke’Asia Williams had an impressive night on the glass with 12 rebounds.

Prairie View managed a 5-2 lead early as Ford knocked down a jumper and Dobbins converted on the inside and from the line. However, the Lady Panthers struggled offensively from that point, going just 5-of-33 from the floor in the first half. Meanwhile, Colorado put together a 40-12 advantage at the break; a lead that held strong for the remainder of the game.

The Lady Panthers shot just 19 percent (12-of-63) from the field, including a 2-of-26 mark from beyond the arc.

Alexis Robinson led the Buffaloes with 13 points. Mya Hollingshed had a double-double with 11 points and 11 boards.
