Illinois 86, Mississippi Valley State 67
Champagne, Ill. –  Despite shooting 46 percent from the floor, the Delta Devils trailed by 16 at halftime and could only get as close as being down 14 the rest of the way.
 
Mississippi Valley State’s Jordan Evans made a 3-pointer with 12:07 to cut the lead to 60-46.
 
The Fighting Illini went on a 17-6 run to increase the lead to 77-52 on a barrage of 3-pointers from Trent Frazier, Aaron Jordan, Tevian Jordan, and two from Da’Monte Williams.  Giorgi Bezhanishvili made a layup also during the run.
 
Evans finished with 22 points on 6-of-14 shooting including 4-of-8 from long range, Dante Scott had 12 points and Aleska Koracin scored 10 points with seven rebounds for the Delta Devils (1-6).
 
Illinois (2-4) made 16-of-30 from 3-point range. 
 
Fordham 77, Alabama A&M 46
New York, NY – The Bulldogs shot just 26 percent from the field while the Rams (5-1) shot at a 51 percent clip.
 
Nick Honor shot 7-of-13 and scored a game-high 17 points with five rebounds and four assists while Jalen Cobb added 13 points to lead Fordham.
 
Gerron Scissum was 8-of-8 from the free throw and had 12 points and four rebounds while Andre Kennedy chipped in with 10 points and four rebounds and a block.
