SWAC West Roundup: Day 3

DALLAS, Texas – Jackson State continued its stretch of hot play on Sunday, going 4-0 on the final day of the SWAC West Roundup to take the top spot in the conference standings with a 11-1 record.
Texas Southern is in second place, going 9-3 on the weekend. Prairie View A&M is in third place, going 8-4 in the West Roundup. Alabama State sits in fourth place in the conference standings, with a 7-5 record over the first weekend of conference play. Southern rounds out the top five, going 5-7 over the weekend.
Alabama A&M and Grambling State round out the standings, each going 1-11 to tie for sixth, with Alabama A&M holding the tiebreaker in total pins, with 9,830, while Alabama A&M had 9,657.
For the individual standings, Denisyha Waller of Texas Southern occupies the top spot in the standings, with an average of 189.0 pins per game over the three days.
Alison Sledge of Alabama State sits in second place with a 187.3 average. Samantha Kriner of Texas Southern (183.2), Violet Kirk of Jackson State (180.9) and Jessica Sawmiller of Alabama State (180.9) round out the top five individual averages.
Prior also sits atop the Freshman leaderboard.
