About the Championship
The 2017 Southwestern Athletic Conference Outdoor Tennis Championships will be held at City Park Tennis Center in New Orleans, LA and will take place Friday, April 14 – Sunday, April 16.
The center features 16 hard courts and 10 clay courts and a clubhouse with a pro shop, restrooms, showers and meeting room. The facility is located of Marconi Boulevard between Interstate 610 and Harrison Avenue.
This year, the Jackson State men and Alcorn State women enter as defending champions. JSU downed 2015 champion Alabama State 4-1 to claim the title. The Lady Braves defeated Jackson State in the finals for their first title since 2008.
