Kendall Core is making quite the name for herself.
The Alabama State junior third baseman batted 3-for-5 with two home runs and four RBI in helping the Lady Hornets defeat Texas Southern 18-8 on Saturday at Shea Brothers Softball Complex in Irondale to earn an automatic berth into the NCAA Tournament for the first time in school history.
For her efforts, Core was named both to the All-Tournament Team and the SWAC Tournament's MVP.
Now, Core is one of four nominees for the Capital One Cup Impact Performance of the Week.
