2015 NCAA MEN'S TENNIS BRACKET
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The Alabama State University men's tennis team recorded its first-ever Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) title, which in turn, gave them their first NCAA Tournament automatic berth.  Now they know where they will go and who they will face after the NCAA released its 64-team field today live on NCAA.com.

The Hornets (12-15) will venture one state over to Mississippi, where they will face Ole Miss in Oxford May 8 at 3:00 pm.  The Rebels (17-8) are the country's 13th-ranked team in the nation and have received the 14th overall seed in the national tournament.  They finished the season among the top four teams in the Southeastern Conference for the 17th time.

Other teams appearing in Oxford are Columbia (14-5) and Georgia Tech (14-12).  Columbia enters the tournament as the champions of the Ivy League while Georgia Tech received an at-large bid out of the Atlantic Coast Conference.

"I'm very excited and this is what these men worked hard for and I'm really looking forward to it," Head Coach Anuk Christiansz said.  "We are playing one of the perennial top teams in the nation and it's an honor and privilege and I hope our men will represent the University the way they know best."

First and second-round competition will be played May 8-9 at the Palmer/Salloum Tennis Center on the Ole Miss campus.  It is a single-elimination format with the winner advancing to Waco, Texas where the 16 regional winning teams will compete for the national title May 14-16.  The national tournament will be hosted by Baylor University.

""I think it is going to be a great experience for them (team) to know they are a part of the elite 64 teams that made it," Christiansz said.  "It will give them tremendous confidence heading into next year and I think that is the most important thing."
