HOUSTON, Texas - For the second consecutive year Texas Southern knocked Grambling State out of the postseason tournament with a 82-74 victory on Wednesday inside the Toyota Center.

TSU (19-11) will move onto the semifinals of the 2014 Toyota SWAC Basketball Tournament and will go against the winner of the Jackson State vs. Mississippi Valley State contest.

Brianna Sidney, Alexus Johnson and Jazzmin Parker each notched double digits to lead TSU to the win. Sidney scored 19 points, shooting 42 percent from the field and 75 percent from behind the arc. Johnson posted a team best nine rebounds with 17 points while Parker chipped in 14 and Jasmine Godbolt added 10 boards.

TSU picked up a 42-33 lead at the break and never trailed, shooting 49 percent from the floor, 41 percent from three points range and 65 percent from the line.

Joanna Miller led GSU (11-20) with a game-high 23 points while Tyler Anderson notched back-to-back double-doubles in postseason play with 12 points and 10 rebounds. The Lady Tigers shot 35 percent from the floor.

Miller scored a free throw with two minutes left in the second half to bring GSU within seven but TSU's Miracle Davis scored, sparking a 10 point lead in the final minute. GSU final points were not enough to put them back on top.
