About the Championship
The 2015 Southwestern Athletic Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships will take place February 21 & 22 at the Birmingham CrossPlex in Birmingham, Ala. This marks the third consecutive year the championships will be held at the facility.
The Birmingham CrossPlex is a 750,000 square-foot and world class multipurpose athletic facility. It boasts a six lane oval hydraulic track and eight 60 meter lanes for sprint and hurdle events. There are dual horizontal runways for pole vault, long jump and triple jump events.
Last season, Prairie View A&M University men's team captured their fifth indoor title in school history. The Lady Hornets of Alabama State claimed their eight overall conference championship.
