ABOUT THE TOURNAMENT
The 2014 Southwestern Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Tournament will take place November 6-9 in Huntsville, Ala at the John Hunt Soccer Complex. This is the first year the event will held at the facility.
The top eight teams, based on Conference results determined by a point system, qualify for the SWAC Women's Soccer Tournament. A team receives three points for each conference win and one point for a tie. The winner of the tournament will earn the SWAC automatic qualifier to the NCAA tournament, if eligible.
Last year, Jackson State University claimed its second title in school history. Only four other schools have won the championhsip title (Alabama A&M, Grambling State, Mississippi Valley State and Arkansas-Pine Bluff).
Admission to the tournament is free.
TOURNAMENT SCHEDULE
All four quarterfinal matches will be played on Thursday with the semifinals occuring on Friday. The Championship match will take place on Sunday at noon.
