2012 RECORD: 1-28 (0-8 SWAC) / 5th Eastern Division
Head Coach: Jessica Harris
KEY LOSSES:
Shaquanda Hollis - OH

Alcorn State was tapped with every worse case scenario at the start of the 2012 season but the departure of a head coach within two weeks of the start of the season.
With the loss of Shaquanda Hollis, last year's leader in kills (142) and digs (117), team improvement has been handed to first year volleyball head coach Jessica Harris.
Returning starters, Kenya Parker, Jaclyn Kuzniar, Georgia Parsons, and Brisha Coffee joined the team after signing in the 2012 off season should serve as a foundation for the rebuilding process.
Parker finished second on the team in kills with 79 making 20 starts along side Parsons. Parsons returns topping the Lady Braves with 320 assists posting 3.8 per game.
The Lady Braves top defenders return with Kuzniar and Coffee. Kuzniar finished the year with 263 digs and Coffee regitered 24 blocks. Both led ALCN in their respective categories.
With a class that has established a relationship and chemistry on the cour, early maturation of the 2012 signees, and just few more victories, the Lady Braves have no other place to go in the SWAC but up the standings.
