Grambling State Continues Indoor Track Dominance

Grambling defended its SWAC men's indoor track and field title in dominating fashion Friday as the championships concluded at Birmingham's Crossplex.
Of the 16 total events, SWAC performers set meet records in an impressive seven events as GSU rolled behind track Most Outstanding Performer for the second straight year, Darwin Price.
Price won three individual events and scored 36 team points, including meet records in the 3000 (8:39.33) meters and the mile (4:19.83). He also won the 5000 (15:30.15) and finished third in the 800.
The meet's field Most Outstanding Performer, Arkansas-Pine Bluff's Terron Armstead, scored 20 points with a record-setting win in the shot put (17.73m) and another victory in the weight throw (17.66m)
Four other meet record were set.
