BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The Southwestern Athletic Conference has announced its All-SWAC Soccer Teams, voted on by the league's head coaches and sports information directors.

Silvia Fuentes (Arkansas-Pine Bluff) was honored as the SWAC Offensive Player of the Year and teammate Erika Forbes was chosen as Defensive of the Year. Brittany Renner (Jackson State) was named Freshman of the Year.

Fuentes, a junior from Moreno Valley, Calif., currently leads the nation in assists (15) and assists per game (1.00). Her points (29) and game winning goals (four) rank first in the SWAC. She was selected as SWAC Offensive Player of the Week three times.

Junior defender Forbes helped the Lady Lions to the SWAC West regular-season title. The Whitby, Ontario native has aided the UAPB backline in seven shutouts with no losses in conference play. Forbes was honored as SWAC Defensive Player of the Week four times this season.

Renner aided the Lady Tigers to their fourth consecutive regular-season conference crown. The defender from Ocean Springs, Miss. led a JSU defense that rated as one of the stingiest in the league. Jackson State shutout nearly half (seven of 17 games) of its opponents and finished second in the league in goals against average.
