Jackson State defensive back Domonique Johnson has officially accepted an invitation to the Under Armour Senior Bowl, bowl officials announced Saturday.

The 2009 Under Armour Senior Bowl is set Saturday, Jan. 24 at 6 pm (CT)  in Mobile’s Ladd-Peebles Stadium and will be televised live on NFL Network.

Johnson was a second-team AP All-American and first team All-SWAC for the Tigers in 2008. He led the team with four interceptions and totaled a league high 13 pass break-ups this season.

The transfer from the University of Missouri helped lead the Tigers to the SWAC Championship in 2007 and back to the conference title game this season. He finished his career with nine interceptions in just two seasons.

Johnson will play on the South team while in Mobile, which will be coached by the Jacksonville Jaguars staff.
