Carey Weaver (QB) - Miss. Valley State - 6-0, 190, Sr. Greenwood, MS Weaver led the Delta Devils to a 28-26 over Delta State, their first win since Nov. 4, 2000 (12-3 over Alcorn State). Weaver completed 22 of 27 passes for 319 yds and 3 TDs. He had a long of 75 yds, a TD.

Defensive Player
Lenard Mack (LB) - Texas Southern - 6-2, 235, Sr, Houston TX Mack gave a valiant effort in the Tigers' 43-32 loss to Alabama State. He is credited with 16 tackles (10 solo) with 7 TFL (44) and 1 sack (4).

Specialist
Kevin Moffett (DB) - Southern - 5-10, Soph., Laurel, MS Moffett earns honors for his play on special team. In the Southern 14-13 win over Ark.-Pine Bluff, Kevin blocked a total of three kicks. He blocked one punt, is credited with tipping another punt that traveled only 20 yds and blocked the Ark.-Pine Bluff PAT attempt that would have tied the game in the third quarter. The virtual "game-winning" block.
