  • Steve Maurice Rogers Sr. was one of the most dominant players in the history of the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC), starring for Alabama State University from 1989-1992.
  • He became a two-time SWAC Player of the Year and earned All-American honors as a junior and senior. Over his collegiate career, he scored 2,447 points and remains one of ASU’s all-time leading scorers.
  • In recognition of his outstanding achievements and enduring impact on SWAC basketball, Rogers was inducted into the SWAC Hall of Fame in 2015
