He finished his collegiate career with 2,132 rushing yards and 26 touchdowns. Harrington was selected in the second round (53rd overall) of the 1980 NFL Draft by the Philadelphia Eagles and went on to play professionally, carrying forward the excellence he demonstrated during his time in the SWAC.
