  • Perry Harrington was a standout running back at Jackson State University in the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC), earning All-SWAC honors and being named the conference’s 1979 Offensive Player of the Year.
  • He finished his collegiate career with 2,132 rushing yards and 26 touchdowns.
  • Harrington was selected in the second round (53rd overall) of the 1980 NFL Draft by the Philadelphia Eagles and went on to play professionally, carrying forward the excellence he demonstrated during his time in the SWAC.
