Young, Roynell Young, Willie Younger, Paul " Tank" Marques Haynes Class Induction 2001 Sport(s) Men's Basketball Langston Marques Haynes was a legendary basketball player at Langston University, where he showcased extraordinary ball-handling skills and helped his team achieve a remarkable record of 112-3, including a 59-game winning streak. After college, Haynes gained international fame with the Harlem Globetrotters and was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 1998. While he is celebrated as one of the greatest basketball players to come out of historically Black colleges, there is no formal record of his induction into the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Hall of Fame.
