Willie “Satellite” Totten was a record-setting quarterback at Mississippi Valley State University in the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC), where he earned four consecutive First-Team All-SWAC selections and set more than 50 NCAA Division I-AA passing records while leading the Delta Devils to one of the most explosive offenses in college football history.
His mastery of the “Satellite Express” offense alongside receiver Jerry Rice made Totten one of the most legendary QBs in HBCU history.
In recognition of his extraordinary collegiate achievements and enduring impact on SWAC football, Totten was inducted into the SWAC Hall of Fame in 2000.
