  • Otis Taylor Jr. was a standout wide receiver at Prairie View A&M University in the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC), where he earned All-SWAC and All-America honors and helped lead the Panthers to a 1963 NAIA national championship appearance.
  • Following his collegiate career, he was selected by the Kansas City Chiefs and enjoyed a successful professional career including pro-bowls and a Super Bowl victory.
  • In recognition of his outstanding achievements and lasting impact on SWAC football, Taylor was inducted into the SWAC Hall of Fame in 1997.
