  • Ken Burrough was an exceptional athlete at Texas Southern University in the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC), excelling in both football and track from 1967 to 1969.
  • In football, he recorded 138 receptions for 1,912 yards and 19 touchdowns and helped lead TSU to a SWAC co-championship in 1968.
  • After college, Burrough was selected 10th overall in the 1970 NFL Draft by the New Orleans Saints and traded to the Houston Oilers, where he starred from 1971 to 1981.
  • He earned two Pro Bowl selections in 1975 and 1977, led all NFL receivers with 1,063 yards in 1975, and became one of the few players to wear the number “00.”
  • In recognition of his outstanding collegiate and professional achievements, Burrough was inducted into the SWAC Hall of Fame in 1997, cementing his legacy as one of the conference’s all-time greats.
