  • Southern
    • He attended Southern University (Baton Rouge) where he played baseball (outfielder) and basketball.
    • In 1972, he led the Jaguars in hitting with a .393 batting average.
    • He was drafted by the Atlanta Braves in the 10th round of the 1973 MLB Draft and played five seasons in their system (1973-1977), reaching as high as Class AAA.
  • Coaching Career at Southern University
    • After his playing career, Cador returned to Southern to serve as an assistant baseball coach beginning in 1978.
    • He also served as an assistant basketball coach at Southern from 1980–1984.
    • He became head baseball coach at Southern in 1985 (some sources note he was named on August 4, 1984) and remained in that role through 2017.
