Young, Roynell Young, Willie Younger, Paul " Tank" Lewis Tillman Class Induction 2011 Sport(s) Football Jackson State Lewis Tillman was a standout running back at Jackson State University in the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC), where he became a three-time All-SWAC performer, was named SWAC Offensive Player of the Year in 1987, and broke his school’s career rushing record with 3,989 yards. His physical style and consistency helped him earn national recognition as a Kodak and Walter Camp All-American. Following college, he played in the NFL for the New York Giants and Chicago Bears. In acknowledgment of his excellent collegiate achievements and lasting impact on SWAC football, Tillman was inducted into the SWAC Hall of Fame in 2011.
