HOUSTON, Texas – It was a very special day for junior quarterback
John Gibbs, Jr. and the Alcorn State family. The City of Houston proclaimed December 16, 2014 John Gibbs, Jr. Day at the Houston City Hall for his awards and accomplishments in helping the Braves capture the 2014 SWAC Championship on Saturday, Dec. 6th, 2014. Gibbs is a Houston native and graduate of Booker T. Washington High School.
He was named the 2014 SWAC Co-Offensive Player of the Year and earned a spot on the first All-SWAC 1st team. He was also recently named the Boxtorow Player of the Year.
The Alcorn State Athletics' family congratulates John for a job well done and being recognized for such an honor.
