Arkansas-Pine Bluff Claims SWAC Men's Golf Championship Title

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Arkansas-Pine Bluff captured the team title at the 2026 SWAC Men’s Golf Championship following the final round played Wednesday at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail at Oxmoor Valley (Ridge Course).
 
Arkansas-Pine Bluff finished with a three-round total of 876 (+12), securing the championship after posting rounds of 287 (-1), 299 (+11), and 290 (+2). Florida A&M placed second with a total score of 880 (+16), while Prairie View A&M finished third at 889 (+25).
 
Texas Southern (893, +29) and Alabama State (894, +30) rounded out the top five. Alabama A&M (897, +33), Jackson State (927, +63), and Southern (928, +64) completed the final team standings.
 
Individually, Alabama A&M’s Vicente Rodriguez claimed medalist honors with a three-round total of 214 (-2), recording rounds of 71, 74, and 69.
 
Texas Southern’s Yashal Shah finished second at 215 (-1), followed by Florida A&M’s Phalaphon Viboonrivasakul and Emilio Garcia, along with Arkansas-Pine Bluff’s Jules De Reu, who tied for third at 217 (+1).
 
Arkansas-Pine Bluff placed multiple golfers among the top finishers, including Jonathon Baumann, Timur Alin, and Cole Wiese, each finishing within the top 15 overall.
 
The championship marks Arkansas-Pine Bluff’s third league title in the past four seasons (2023, 2024, 2026).
