Tournament Bracket
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Southwestern Athletic Conference has announced its 2026 SWAC Women’s Tennis Tournament seedings, featuring the league’s top eight teams following the conclusion of regular season play. Jackson State captured the regular season championship outright and enters the tournament as the No. 1 seed.
Jackson State finished conference play with a perfect 8-0 record to secure the top seed. Alabama A&M claimed the No. 2 seed with a 7-1 mark, while Alabama State earned the No. 3 seed after posting a 6-2 conference record.
Southern enters the tournament as the No. 4 seed (5-3 SWAC), followed by Florida A&M as the No. 5 seed (4-4 SWAC). Alcorn State (3-5 SWAC) secured the No. 6 seed.
Bethune-Cookman (2-6 SWAC) and Mississippi Valley State (1-7 SWAC) claimed the final two spots in the tournament field as the No. 7 and No. 8 seeds, respectively.
The 2026 SWAC Women’s Tennis Tournament is scheduled to be played April 17–19 at City Park Tennis Center in New Orleans. Quarterfinal matches are set to begin on Friday, April 17 at 9:00 a.m. CST.
The semifinals and finals rounds are slated to be broadcast live on SWAC TV.
