SWAC Baseball Tournament Final Score: Bethune-Cookman 8, Alabama State 7

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.- The Bethune-Cookman Wildcats punched their ticket to the 2025 SWAC Baseball Tournament Championship game after a thrilling 8-7 come from behind victory over the Alabama State Hornets.

Alabama State jumped out to a 3-0 advantage after five innings were played. B-CU plated five runs in the bottom half of the seventh inning to take a 5-3 lead.

The Hornets would push three runs across the plate in the eighth inning to reclaim the lead at 6-5. Bethune-Cookman would counter in the bottom half of the inning with two additional runs to take a 7-6 lead heading into the ninth inning of play.

Alabama State’s Kameron Douglas hit a single in the ninth inning to tie the score at 7-7. Bethune-Cookman would get out of the inning without any additional runs scored by ASU.

After a scoreless top half of the tenth inning Bethune-Cookman’s Daniel Figueroa would get a base hit up the middle to score the game winning run on a walk off while giving the Wildcats a 8-7 lead and the win.
