SWAC Baseball Tournament Final Score: Florida A&M 14, Grambling State 4

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.- 
The Florida A&M Rattlers defeated Grambling State by a score of 14-4 on Thursday at the 2025 SWAC Baseball Tournament. 

The Rattlers got the scoring started early, putting two runs on the board in the bottom the first inning with the game still scoreless. Florida A&M plated two runs when Jay Campbell left the yard with William Brown aboard.

The Tigers then gained ground, narrowing the lead to 2-1 until the Rattlers expanded their advantage in the fifth. The Florida A&M offense exploded for four runs, highlighted by a one-run single off the bat of Colotn Ryals, which brought the score to 6-1 in favor of the Rattlers.

Grambling narrowed Florida A&M's lead to 6-2 before the Rattlers stretched the advantage to 11-2 in the seventh inning. The Rattlers bats heated up in the inning, scoring five runs, including a one-run single off the bat of Jordan Brown.

The Tigers gained ground, closing the gap to 11-4 until Florida A&M added some insurance in the eighth. The three-run frame for the Rattlers was puncuated by a two-run homer from Ryals. bringing the Florida A&M advantage to 14-4. The score remained 14-4 for the rest of the game, as the Rattlers coasted to the win.

FAMU's Colton Ryals tallied a team high three RBIs and Carson Kelly was credited with the win after pitching 3.2 innings and allowing two earned runs. Chris Marcellus led the Tigers at the plate with three RBIs and teammate Trenton Shaw was tagged with the loss after allowing two earned runs.
